Two songs that have captured my booty lately.. ahem.. so to speak.
1) Yeh Doorian, Fool N Final
It should be criminal for anyone to look as hot as Shahid Kapur. No, seriously. Lock him up and don't let him out. Nobody moves on a dancefloor like that. And he's wearing a Northwestern sweatshirt and dancing around in Dubai for crying out loud. This boy was meant to be mine. Why Kareena, o cruel world, why?
Ayesha Takia looks rather loserly compared to him, even though I normally find her quite sweet. And why is she lip-syncing to a man's voice? Seems like the song was recorded without planning out what the video would look like, and whether she'd be in it.
Come to think of it, what purpose may this song play in any movie's plot? And why the N'Sync like puppeteering in the video? Ah who cares, Shahid's hot. That's all that matters.
2) Ab Toh Forever, Ta Ra Rum Pum
While the movie was awful, and this song particularly loud when the film was screened in-theater, I did find myself tapping my feet then.. and now when I reconsider the hotness of Saif Ali Khan, it just becomes all the more irresistable. And Javed Jaffrey, bless his soul, at least got to bust a move after 20 years of hiding his choreographer roots.
Rani Mukherji, on the other hand, should promptly be shot.

ReplyDeleteYeh Dooriyan is an awesome track. But I agree with you - Rani Mukherjee needs to quit acting or at least stop acting like she's cool. She's a short, fat, ugly and terribly voiced woman.

And to add insult to injury, Rani won the IIFA for Best Actress this weekend for her performance in (s)KANK.
