It's true: HP casting directors are on crack.

Seriously, I put up with 5 movies but now enough is enough! Guess who is playing Slughorn in the next movie? Jim Broadbent!

Don't get me wrong, he's a great actor, but who in their right mind could consider him a good Horace Slughorn? They should have cast someone portly and round, who can do "morally dubious" convincingly, like Tom Wilkinson.

These guys have got it wrong from the start.

Kenneth Brannagh is wonderful, but Gilderoy Lockhart needed to be a dashingly handsome actor - like Rupert Everett or Hugh Grant even.

Ralph Fiennes has been wasted as Voldemort; he would have made a far better Lupin that whatsit with the ratty moustache. And Jeremy Irons should have been cast as the Dark Lord instead.

Gary Oldman makes a weird Sirius because he's hardly got an animalistic demeanor; someone like Hugh Jackman would have done that job brilliantly.

Yes, they got it right with the kids, Snape, McGonagall, and Trelawney. Much preferred the first Dumbledore to the second, but I'll put up with that.

But otherwise, these guys just keep getting it wrong. And I'm really sick of it!

Welcome back to the xinugeist, by the way. Been a while innit?
