Amrish Puri dies at 72

Quite tragic :(

I remember watching Mogambo in Mr. India and feeling enchanted by the many rings that he wore and routinely cracked upon a large pearl globe that formed the arm-rest of his jewelled throne.

I remember watching him as Simran's wrathful father slapping Shahrukh Khan senseless in the climax of DDLJ, and thinking, 'Yep, my Papa would probably do the same'.

I haven't seen Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom yet, but I've got the DVD at home, and Sarwar swears by the coolness of Puri's bald head with the funky red design painted on.

He was an awesome actor. He shall be missed.
