I finally realized today what the song "Papa Don't Preach" is about. She's pregnant!!!

All this time I thought she just wanted her Papa to give her advice on the man who wants to marry her, and when she says "I'm keeping my baby" I thought she meant the GUY, not the actual baby! Well I guess this explains why the trouble is so "deep". I never quite got why marrying a guy was such a big deal. She could always divorce him later. Unless her Daddy was a preacher and she didn't believe in divorce. In which case, what's she doing getting knocked up out of wedlock? Slut!
